Bridge to Resiliency (BTR)
What is BTR?
BTR is a 5-6 session brief intervention designed to support individuals who are waiting to begin on-going therapy, or have recently been discharged from an inpatient program, Emergency Department or Crisis Center visit for behavioral health.
BTR can be used in conjunction with an on-going therapist (if client already has services), or can be used to “Bridge” services (support while the client awaits an on-going therapist)
What can you expect from BTR?
-Intense focus on skill building (learning or relearning ways to overcome problems, negative attitudes, improve daily life)
-Identify your coping skills and self-care (what do you do when you are living your best life or when you are struggling, who are your support people?)
-Identify what you control in your life and how to build on those areas to improve confidence and daily functioning
-Discover your areas of resiliency (your ability to recover and bounce back from difficult situations)
BTR is NOT?
-
While this program is housed in the Neurofeedback Clinic of Northern Colorado, BTR is NOT neurofeedback, it is a separate program with no waitlist!
-
BTR is NOT traditional talk therapy focused on the “why” for your behaviors, our goal is to support not uncover
-
BTR is NOT ongoing therapy, it is a brief intervention
